Lindy Computer Docking Stations
Since the height of Covid-19, more and more of us are remote working, working from home, and traveling to the office potentially only 1 or 2 days a week. Because of this, there are more people than ever choosing to work on a laptop than a full desktop PC. It can, however, be increasingly annoying when you have to plug in all of of your required equipment including an external monitor, ethernet, mouse, external hard drive etc.
Windows laptop and computer docking stations allow you to plug all of your cables into 1 small device which takes up minimal space on your desk. This can then connect to you laptop using 1 USB port making it much quicker and easier when connecting and disconnecting between your home and office.
This type of device is often confused with a powered USB hub as they can look similar. The difference being, a USB hub will only allow you to connect other USB devices. A docking station on the other hand will have connections for HDMI, Ethernet, Display Port, USB and potentially even VGA. Apple have recently released the Thunderbolt connection which is available on a number of docking stations which offer a Thunderbolt 3 port connector.
