So what type of fire extinguisher do you need?

Water fire extinguishers - have a red label and should only be used against class A fires burning material (E.g. wood, paper and textiles)

Foam fire extinguishers - have a nude/ pale yellow label and are used against burning materials and flammable liquids.

Dry powder fire extinguishers - have a blue label and are used against burning materials, flammable liquids, flammable gases, flammable metals and electrical equipment.

Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers (CO2 extinguisher) - Carbon Dioxide extinguishes have a black label and should be used against flammable liquids and electrical fires.

Wet chemical fire extinguisher - wet chemical extinguishers have a bright yellow label and are used against burning materials and deep fat fryer fires.
