What is a Stapler?

A stapler is a common desktop accessory that is found in most offices, it is used to join sheets of paper together by driving a small metal staple through the sheet of paper and bending the ends to ensure that they remain attached. These are widely used most businesses, schools and homes. The first stapler was hand made in the mid eighteenth century for the French king Louis XV because of the growing uses of paper in the nineteenth century 200 years later one can be found on most desk tops.

The most popular type of stapler is the traditional manual stapler that is constructed with a combination of metal and plastic with a spring mechanism to ensure that there is always a staple in position in the release slot. Offices that are required to staple lot of documents often opt for an electric stapler, these speed up the process and do not require the same sort of pressure the common office staplers do. Customers who require the ability to staple 50 sheets or more we advise to use a heavy duty stapler, they pierce vast thicknesses of paper with ease.
