Staples are a crucial office supply that allow you to bind papers together quickly and efficiently. A galvanised staple is a small metal fastener with 2 prongs that, when used in a stapler, pierces through the paper and then the prongs are bent round back on themselves. The most common sizes are 26/6 staples and 24/6 staples and will staple between 20-50 pages of 80gsm paper. These staple sizes will fit into most regular desktop full strip and half strip staplers and can be used for binding documents, securing files and creating booklets. We also sell heavy duty staples that can be used in either a tacker or a heavy duty stapler. A tacker (or staple gun) can be used in other office related tasks, such as stapling posters, memos, or presentations to a flat surface like a wall or presentation board. On the other hand, a heavy duty stapler will allow you to staple a larger number of pages, some staples will even bind up to 120 pages. While staples are often associated with offices, they are equally useful in schools, homes, and even industrial settings for more specialised tasks.
