1. The JP041 is an extremely well built and honestly priced full size student alto sax. While cheaper saxophones can vary enormously in quality, this model has been tried and tested over many years and continues to be recommended by teachers as a favourite all round starter instrument. John Packer have been manufacturing instruments for over 50 years, and the company is still run by Mr Packer himself. The company strive to produce good value instruments that are affordable yet offer a high level of performance, and their saxophones are a popular choice amongst teachers, schools and students across the globe. The build quality of the JP041 is excellent, and as with all John Packer outfits, it comes with a professional quality case - an important consideration when the instrument needs to survive the rigours of daily school life.
